The Deputy Director of Communications at the Office of the President, Mr. Jefferson  Sackey on Wednesday, 22nd March, 2023, donated ceiling fans to the New Abossey Okai basic School in the Ablekuma Central Constituency. The fans are to be fixed in all class rooms in the school, from Kindergarten to JHS 3.

He has also taken the responsibility of getting the fans installed in the classrooms.

The gesture falls under his “Jefferson Care Education Support Programme”, a scheme he has instituted to support children, teachers and parents in the area.

The donation was in fulfillment of a commitment he made during the National Union of Ghana Students ‘Basic Education day’ in the school last month to help the students battle the sweltering heat in the classrooms, which distracts them from concentrating in class.
